What We’re Doing:
Building Chapters.
Our approach to statewide growth is centered on community engagement and grassroots organizing. Through targeted outreach efforts and partnerships with colleges and universities, we're actively establishing chapters in every corner of the state. By empowering students with the tools, resources, and support they need, we're fostering the next generation of progressive leaders who are dedicated to effecting meaningful change in their communities.
Creating Caucuses.
We recognize the importance of diverse voices and perspectives in shaping our collective vision for progress. That's why we're committed to creating identity caucuses that provide inclusive spaces for individuals from various backgrounds and communities to come together, share experiences, and advocate for issues that directly affect them. Through our caucuses, we aim to foster solidarity, understanding, and intersectional activism.
Connecting Candidates.
We're connecting students with candidates and legislators to foster relationships between . By facilitating opportunities for direct interaction, such as candidate forums, town halls, and internships, we're empowering students to actively participate in the political process and make informed decisions at the ballot box. Our goal is to cultivate a generation of informed and engaged voters who are committed to electing Democratic leaders who will champion progressive policies and values that benefit all Oklahomans.
Voter Registration.
Our chapters are conducting voter registration drives on campuses across the state to ensure that every eligible individual has the opportunity to participate in the democratic process. Through these efforts, we aim to empower citizens to exercise their right to vote and have a say in shaping the future of our state and nation.
Finding Community.
We're not just a club; we're a community. We're proud to say we work with the coolest kids in the state, but more importantly, we're building a network of the next generation of Democrats. Through our events, discussions, and shared passion for progressive values, we're forging bonds that extend beyond campuses. Through these initiatives, we're not just building a stronger Democratic community in Oklahoma; we're preparing the next generation of leaders to make a meaningful impact in politics and beyond.
Professional Development.
Democrats have to invest in youth professional development. That's why we're dedicated to providing comprehensive training and networking opportunities to equip our members with the skills and connections they need to succeed beyond graduation. From workshops on campaign strategies to resume-building sessions and networking events with Democratic leaders and professionals, we're committed to empowering our members to excel in their future careers.
